Nature is an important source of inspiration for me. Our modern lifestyle has alienated us from nature and from the sea. A global tragedy is happening – the oceans are being polluted, coral reefs are bleaching, marine animals are dying. Pearls are miracles from the ocean, they symbolize nature, the splendor and richness of the sea. Miracles threatened by an abundance of – also beautiful – plastic, the embodiment of our artificial and industrial society.
